The king of rap music from the Volta Region known in real life as Denning Edem Hotor, with the Showbiz name Edem is ready to thrill his great fans all over the country with quality entertainment in his maiden Edemfest show scheduled to take place at Keta,on Friday 3rd of November 2017.
The versatile rapper speaking to Amansan Krakye made it known that, he is ready to drag a lot of people all over the country to his region to impact their lives positively through his music, art and the rich culture from his region.
The rapper continued, “I want to use Edemfest as a platform to entertain the deprived regions in the country in terms of quality musical concert”. Artistes slated on the bill to blow the minds of their fans with massive and dope performances include Ponobiom, VVIP, M.anifest, Mzvee, Kaakie, Gemini and host of other great act’s.
Talking about how he had influenced people on the use of his local dialect in music, the Koene hitmaker said,
“am very proud I inspired people to use their own local dialect for music, that was the agenda, and am very happy about that”.
Born Edem first came to attention as Ayigbe Edem, with his successful 2009 debut collection, Volta Regime. He followed it up with Mass Production in 2011. His third album was Books and Rhymes.
Edem’s style is a fusion of hip-hop, dancehall, reggae and highlife. His hit songs have included Ghetto Arise, Heyba, Bougez, Bra Fremi Fremi, Nyedzilo, Kpordawoe and Koene.
