Prolific Ghanaian Hip life musician known in real life as Nana Kwaku Duah, formerly branded as Tic Tac, now prefers to be called Tic has picked sensation Lynx Entertainment singer Kidi as his all-time best artiste he had collaborated with since his twenty years of felt influence in the Ghanaian music industry.
In an exclusive interview with Amanasan Krakye on Radio Central, Tic said he really liked the music of Kidi, the current 2018 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards highlife song of the year.
“Am a musician who always thinks about new things to come, i had previously released great songs featuring Pappi Kojo and Samini. So, I had to release a new song with so much appeal for this year that talks more about love and heart. I decided to feature Kidi on Pene Mame song because I really love his musical works with his magical voice”, he said.
When the iconic musician was asked about his all time best song and artiste he had worked with over the past twenty years, he added, “after working with countless African international artistes such as Toni Tertuila, 2face, Freddy Meiway, Sway and other Great Ghanaian artistes like VVIP, Samini, Sarkodie, and host of other acts, i will choose my current song ‘Pene Mame’ featuring Kidi among all”.
The ‘Shordys’ hitmaker also added his voice on the need for our Ghanaian artistes in the industry to promote our indigenous genre to help preserve our culture.
Tic gained huge eminence in the early 2000’s when he did collaborations with Nigerian acts like Tony Tetuila when they did the song ‘Fefe Na’ fe.’ Tic who is well known for songs like ‘Philomina,’ ‘Kwani Kwani,’ ‘Serwaa Akoto’ and other amazing songs.
