The Black Stars will host the first of the two back-to-back 2017 African Cup of Nations Group H qualifier against Mozambique on Thursday at the Accra Sports Stadium. Avram Grant’s side lead Group H of the standings with six points which has Rwanda and Mauritius who are both tied on three points.

Victory over Mozambique would preserve the Black Stars’ 100 per cent record after defeating Mauritius 7-1 and Rwanda 1-0.

The match against an unfancied Mozambique team will also afford Black Stars skipper, Asamoah Gyan, who currently has 48 international goals to his credit, the opportunity to complete his personal five scores of goals for the Black Stars.

Members of Coach Grant’s 23-man squad, began arriving at the weekend with the Italian trio of Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu (Udinese), Afriyie Acquah (Torino) and Alfred

Duncan (Sassuolo) expected to touch down last night.

The return leg is scheduled for Maputo three days later.
