The just ended 20th Anniversary of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, VGMA 2019 ended with almost an hours interruption and a brawl between the duo Dancehall Artistes in Ghana, Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale.
The interruption which triggered international media was something that was uncalled for as far as Ghana Music was concerned. The brawl had already sent negative images of our Music Industry to the world as about 42 countries were streaming live one of the greatest events in the Ghanaian Music Industry, Vodafone Ghana Music Awards and it was its 20th Anniversary.
After Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale brawl, a lot personalities and individuals passed a unity comments to reunite the two greatest Dancehall artistes in Ghana. Amongst them included Sonnie Badu, Jackie Appiah, Kwame Sefah Kayi, some members of the Ministries and a lot of media personalities.
MUSIGA president, Obour and Charterhouse were expected to immediately come out with a solution to reunite the two artistes to send positive signals to the world concerning our Music Industry but failed to do so amidst the wildest tensions that was transpiring at the moment.
Just yesterday, Nana Aba Anamoah and Dr. Kofi Amoa Abban had shock the world and the whole country to reunite the two, Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale to calm their supporters down and to strengthen ties between the two camps, Bhim Nation of Stonebwoy and Shatta Movement Family of Shatta Wale.
Ameyaw Debrah, a celebrated blogger has however expressed his regrets as he was expecting the outgoing President of MUSIGA, Obour and CharterHouse to rather have reunited the duo artistes, Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale.
