My dream was to be an Information Technologist – Patoranking

Nigerian dancehall artiste, Patoranking has disclosed that music wasn’t his dream profession. He said he had wanted to be an information technologist.

“Growing up I thought I was going to be an information technologist,” he disclosed.

According to the artiste, who was speaking in an interview with Dr Pounds on the Hitz Gallery on Hitz FM, Physics was his favorite subject in school but had to quit  school due to financial problems.

“Physics was my favorite subject in school, but I had to drop out due to financial problems,” he said.

He explained that he had to sacrifice his education for his younger siblings to further theirs.

According to the ‘My Woman, My Everything’ hit-maker, it was a bitter blow for him to quit school but he believed that God, in his infinite wisdom, had other plans for him.

“I dropped out of school so my siblings could also go to school, at first I was hurt but knew God had plans for me,” he said.

Despite the changes in his career, the award-winning artiste says he still has plans of going back to school to continue with the course.

“I still have plans of going back to school, read a couple of books and take my career to the next level,” he added.
