My Muscles Created Problems for me When I Started Music – Wiyaala

Ghanaian musical female icon, Noella Wiyaala, has finally voiced out how her facial looks and muscles almost hindered her musical career when she started pursuing it to the top.

Speaking to Amansan Krakye, On Oilcitytoday exclusive radio drive show on Radio Central in Cape Coast, the gifted performer and songwriter, who recently performed in UK alongside All Girl group GRRRL, described how her own people discouraged her from pursuing music due to her personality.

She said, “People were skeptical about my musical career. Some people told me I was too ugly, and my muscles were not good for music”.

The talented African Pop singer continue, “Although I felt irritated when people back home never appreciated my musical works at the beginning, after some time, they began to understand my  style of music”.

Noella who was named the headliner artiste for the 15th edition of the London African Music Festival launch party in the United Kingdom stated that, language has never been been a barrier since she started her musical career.
