The rules are all jacked up and havent been properly adapted to digital technology at the very philosophy core (which is where the law starts).
Also i dunno, I always found the concept absurd because ideas are less tied to tangible production these days. Even authors of IP law books spend their first chapter going “Ok this is fucking absurd of an idea, but this is how and why we have this. Basically so people can make money off of having an idea. “
