KNUST to honour Sarkodie with Doctorate degree

Ghanaian award winning musician, Sarkodie originally born Michael Owusu Addo according to reports is set to be honoured with a doctorate degree at Kwame University of Science and Technology.

The decision to honour the musician came in before his visit to the States to address students of the Havard University’s Business School.

According to Prof. William O. Ellis, vice chancellor of KNUST, he said the musician has worked tirelessly to put Ghana out there needs to be recognised.

‘’Sarkodie has really set pace for people to follow. He has indeed marketed Ghana on several international platforms with his music and it’s time we honour him’’ The vice chancellor told ondamic.com.

When Prof. William O. Ellis mentioned ‘’Megye Wo Girl’’ as his favourite Sarkodie’s song when asked which of his numerous hits he likes.

Asked why he is so much in love with Sarkodie’s “Megye Wo Girl”, he jokingly said: ‘’that song really motivate the young guys as to work harder or else someone will scoop your lover from you”.

Fews days to come, Sarkodie will be known as Dr. Michael Owusu Addo.
