Chelsea 4- Slavia Prague 3
Chelsea hosted Slavia Prague on Thursday in the second leg of their Europa League quarter-final.
The Blues took a 1-0 lead into the second tie.
Chelsea then got off to a superb start on Thursday with Pedro firing them into the lead inside five minutes.
An own goal would then double Chelsea’s lead just four minutes later.
A 17th-minute strike from Giroud and a second from Pedro would see Chelsea 4-1 up inside 27 minutes.
After the Slavia Prague win, Giroud has become the first Chelsea player to find the net 10 times in a single European campaign.

Azpilicueta on Chelsea’s poor second half starts
Despite a dominant first half, Chelsea very nearly threw away their lead.
The second half saw the away side control the opening exchanges and bring the score back to 4-3.
Chelsea starting second halves slowly is somewhat of a recurrence this season.
As well as conceding in the 51st and 54th minute on Thursday, Chelsea would also concede in the 51st and 53rd minute last weekend as they lost 2-0 vs Liverpool.
Chelsea’s seeming unwillingness to get going after the restart is something that is now concerning Blues defender, Cesar Azpilicueta:
“I think it’s our mistake and one we are making very often.
“The result is not easy and we keep conceding early goals and making the same mistakes in the second half.
“We put ourselves in a position where we could control the game but we suffered until the end.
“It’s not the way we want to win the trophy but we’re in the semi-finals. They [Slavia Prague] are a tough side, they never give up and showed that when they beat Sevilla in the last round.”As quoted by the Evening Standard.
