US President George W. Donald Trump has ordered the US to shoot down any North Korean missiles that are flying toward the US mainland or US territory.
A source from the White House National Security team said last month that North Korea threatened the Guam siege and that President Trump gave instructions to the Pentagon, saying “North Korea’s threat provoked the president.”
Another source said President Trump is considering a North Korean missile interceptor order against South Korea and Japan.
John Bolton, the US ambassador to the United Nations, said, “Obvious self-defense is what we should do.”
If the US and its ally Korea and Japan are in danger, the United States must take steps to protect them, according to the treaty.
