Ghana`s hottest dancehall and reggae artiste Livingstone Etse Satekla aka Stonebwoy of Zylofon Media record label has been mentioned among others as a High Level Influencer (H.L.I) for United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) to support their outreach programmes.
The multiple award winning artiste was mentioned among other notable celebrities in different fields in the persons Nikki Samonas for movies, CEO of Abrantie Fashion as a stylist and the CEO of Biishville Kwame Amfo- Akonnor as a chef.
These four influential people in our arts industry will be assisting the UN body in trumpeting the plight of refugees in the various camps in Ghana as well as helping them to raise funds to support some of their projects.
The team before the launch of the project visited the Ampain Refugee Camp in the Western Region where they interacted with some of the refugees there mainly from Ivory Coast after their crisis. The visit was to assist the influencers to have first hand information about life in the camp which will inform the urgency in their work with the refugees agency.
In an interaction with the refugees, Stonebwoy told a section of the refugees who are into music to pay maximum attention to social media which they can use for promotion no matter their confinement as refugees. The “Say It” hit maker also encouraged them to do continuous rehearsals so they will not be rusty whilst they wait for the right time become mega stars.
