He was a key attraction at the annual MTN Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols programme where he wowed guests with his costume, props and rib-cracking Fante interpretation of popular carols.
He was sorely missed at last year’s bash because he was then in prison custody in Kumasi for unlawful use of a banned substance.
MTN sources, however, say rapper Kwaw Kese is in the line-up for this year’s show scheduled for December 18 at the Accra International Conference Centre.
That means ardent followers of the carols programme can this year catch Kwaw Kese unleash some more antics on stage to spice the whole event. In 2012 for instance, he emerged on stage with a live fowl under his armpit. In 2013, he was accompanied on stage by a dog.
Other artistes billed to perform at the event which kicks off at 6.00pm are Stonebwoy, Eazzy, Tagoe Sisters, Nana Perbi, Viva Voices of MTN, Kidi and Abena who were the winner and first runner -up at year’s MTN Hit-Maker talent contest and a surprise act. Also in attendance will be the El Dunamis Choir and the Shabo band.
