On Tuesday, 27th March, 2018, the Vice President of the Country His. Mohammadu Bawumia on behalf of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, handed over Sixty-Two (62) vehicles, Sixty (60) motorbikes and Two (2) generator sets to the National Identification Authority at the forecourt of the State House, Accra.

The purpose for the essential logistics were to facilitate the nationwide registration and issuance of the National Identification Cards which will help modernise and formalise the economy through the establishment of a credible national database.

This move by the government never went on well with the people of the country who are very disappointed in the government for not buying some of the vehicles from Kantanka Automobile to help promote the local automobile industry.
