Ga Central Municipal Assembly has finally purchased and procured two made in Ghana Pickup vehicles from the Ghanaian Kantanka Automobile Company, to pave the way for other municipal and metropolitan assemblies in the country to emulate.
The two Kantanka Pickups manufactured by the Kantanka Motors was delivered to the Assembly on the 11th of May, 2018 at the forecourt of the Assembly office located at Sowutuom.
According to the Director of the Ga Central Municipal Assembly known as Alhaji Hardi, his outfit saw it necessary to help and support the good work Apostle Dr. Ing. Kwadwo Safo is doing in the country.
He continued, ” management of the Ga Central Assembly decided to purchase Kantanka vehicles so that other municipal Assemblies will also follow their good initiative in patronising made in Ghana products”.
The two Pickups with the model names Kantanka Omama (Ordinary) and Omama (Luxury ) have already been added to the Assembly fleets of vehicles for their routine works in the Assembly to help develop their jurisdiction.
The new Kantanka Omama model has proven the ability to deliver extra power, fuel economy efficiency and less emissions.
it comes with an engine capacity of 1.9 Turbo-Charge Direct Injector (TDI) with fuel consumption of 7.8 liters covering 100km per hour. The pickup is loaded with modern specifications including a unique ECU monitor, Bluetooth system, USB/AUX interface, Adjustable steering wheel, Airbags and other effective features.
